Over 25 years I have photographed just about every type of ceremony and event and have evolved an approach that allows people to feel relaxed and at ease while being photographed while capturing all the key moments.

Restrictions regarding photography during marriage ceremonies tend to vary according to regional rules or the individual preferences of the Registrar on the day. However, I have noticed that some restrictions that may normally apply during the exchange of vows, such as use of flash, may be relaxed during civil partnership ceremonies and blessings, which can make it easier to capture more candid moments even during the formal part of the ceremony.
